United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention, in collaboration with the Broward Behavioral Health Coalition, Florida Department of Children and Families and Signature Grand, presents the 8th Annual Behavioral Health Conference: The Power of Prevention on Tuesday, May 9 and Wednesday, May 10 at Signature Grand to promote community awareness and support of behavioral health and substance use prevention.
Broward’s behavioral health professionals to hear from renowned psychologists, professors, trauma and grief specialists, leading diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) experts, and prevention specialists who will provide crucial continuing education.
Vanessa James will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies on both days.
The two-day conference will offer participants the opportunity to learn from thought leaders in behavioral health, network with industry peers, and discuss issues related to research, policy and practice.
Participants can expand professional knowledge, receive quality continuing education from subject matter experts, and promote community awareness of behavioral health and substance abuse prevention within the community.
Conference tracks will include Professional Development, Special Topics and Initiatives Innovation & Thought, Prevention Interventions, Health Equity, and Faith-Based Focus.
Licensed Clinicians and Certified Professionals can earn CEU credits.
