Well-known for their works in arts and healing, Brazilian Voices deliver a concert of familiar songs intended to soothe and inspire in the Abdo New River Room. Featuring award-winning female singers, light percussion and guitar, Brazilian Voices will present a program of Bossa Nova favorites as well as American classics, along with medleys of popular Brazilian and American songs with a soft samba sound.
This performance is intended to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as for individuals with other sensitivity issues or developmental disabilities. Slight adjustments are made to the production including reduced sound levels, no flashing or strobe lights and minimal special effects. As an added bonus, Brazilian Voices will distribute safe musical gift items to the audience, including egg shaped shakers with which the audience will play and sing along to.
General admission is $10 until the week of the show and then $15. Lap tickets for children 12 months and under are available for $5. Buy tickets online at BrowardCenter.org, by phone at 954.462.0222 or in person at the Broward Center’s AutoNation Box Office.
