Young At Art Museum invites you to celebrate its 30th Anniversary with a concert, cocktails, craft Beer & culinary delights. Guests will be treated to an interactive BarCade and Beer Garden featuring craft beer from local breweries and artist-designed arcade games which serve as a preview of the museum’s summer exhibition ArtCade. All-you-can-eat culinary tastings and open bars will be found throughout the museum as the night highlights YAA’s Favorite Local Restaurants. Guests can enjoy cocktails in the museum’s featured exhibition, LightScapes, before it closes and experience a new exhibition by multimedia artist Jen Clay whose immersive, sculptural installation will be activated by live performers in textile suits designed in the artist’s signature playful and otherworldly style. The pinnacle of the evening is a live musical set by Kendra Morris with her full band whose film noir funk will fill the CultureScapes Gallery. Morris, originally from St. Petersburg, Florida reached critical acclaim and garnered a cult following with singles like Concrete Waves as heard on NPR’s All Things Considered, Fuse and various TV and film soundtracks including Ray Donovan and Dead Man Down. All proceeds from the 30th Celebration benefit YAA’s community initiatives bringing art-based experiences to underserved communities where the opportunity to engage with art is limited by geography, ethnicity, economics or disability. General Admission tickets are $50, YAA Member Tickets are $45 and Student Tickets are $35 (must be 21 to consume alcohol). Attire is casual chic.
