DESCRIPTION:The South Florida Pride Bands is welcoming new members for the 2026–2027 season! Whether you’re picking up your instrument for the first time in years\, are an intermediate player looking for a fun ensemble\, or an experienced musician seeking a challenge\, there’s a place for you. \nJoin one or all of our performing groups as we prepare for a season of concerts and community performances from October 2026 through June 2027: \nConcert Band: Rehearsals begin Wednesday\, August 12\, at 7 p.m.\nSteel Band: Rehearsals begin Thursday\, August 13\, at 7 p.m.\nJazz Band: Rehearsals begin Tuesday\, August 18\, at 7:30 p.m. \nRehearsals are held at Saint Mark’s Episcopal School on Oakland Park Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. \nThe South Florida Pride Bands is open to the gay\, lesbian\, bi-sexual\, transgendered and straight-friendly community of all musical levels. Don’t have an instrument? We may have one available for you to use. \nNot a musician? You can still get involved by joining the color guard\, volunteering with event setup and breakdown\, or supporting the organization through donations. \nCome make music\, build friendships and be part of one of South Florida’s most welcoming performing arts communities.
