The 1000+ Club to Benefit Cancer INC.’s 2016 “Under the Tree of Hope” spring luncheon featured longtime member Loretta Slater as honorary luncheon chairwoman and NBC 6 news anchor Adam Kuperstein as emcee. The event showcased the nine organizations that have been awarded grants in the past five years and the benefits that these grants have accomplished. The 1000+ Club has been acknowledged as a dynamic source of funds and in the past five years has awarded $487,000 to nine area recipients.
