Award-winning writer and professional actor Joshua Ritter performs a solo show that details his hilarious and heartbreaking experiences as the primary caregiver for his special needs twins. Noah and Aidan were born eleven weeks premature and diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, and OCD. While his wife worked to provide for the family, Ritter immersed himself in the world of neurodivergence to give his sons the opportunities that many parents take for granted—all while working as an actor in film and television. Ritter’s essays have won the Soul-Making Keats Humor Competition and the Seven Hills Literary Non-fiction Contest, among others. His latest piece, Falling Down, was a finalist for the Perkoff Prize and published in The Missouri Review. Combining his acting and writing skills, Ritter presents a show where the audience can laugh at the absurdities of his life while contemplating their own connection.
