Put on your science hat this summer. The Water Shuttle – that’s the one with the pink boats – is offering an environmental tour, the Blue Discovery Tour. Every fourth Saturday of the month, passengers will be able to enjoy a two-hour narrated boat ride led by marine biologist and photographer Paola Espitia. Guests will be able to spot and photograph marine life such as stingrays, ospreys, manatees and maybe even the occasional pod of dolphins. Tours, which cost $35 per person, depart at 11 a.m. from Riverwalk at Riverfront Plaza, in front of Briny Irish Pub.
Uber Tasty
Ubereats.com
UberEATS has arrived in Fort Lauderdale. The app, a food-delivery service from California-based ridesharing behemoth Uber, made its South Florida debut in Miami and has now crossed the county line. If you want a tasty meal to come to you, all you have to do is download the UberEATS app, create an account including credit card information, select a restaurant and choose a dish from the menu. (Don’t worry about tipping; your total includes the food and delivery service.) As with Uber, you can track your order while it’s en route.
