A Legacy Continues

Some family businesses are passed down. Others become part of a city’s story.

For Baileigh Daoud-Soricelli, the jewelry business is both. As a fifth-generation jeweler and managing partner at Daoud’s Fine Jewelry, she is helping carry a 131-year-old family legacy into its next chapter- and now, that work is being recognized on a national stage.

Jewelers of America has named Daoud-Soricelli to its 2026 20 Under 40 list, an annual program recognizing young professionals making their mark on the fine jewelry industry. This year’s class brings together 40 rising talents from across the country, representing both the retail and supplier sides of the business.

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized among such a talented and forward-thinking group of professionals,” Daoud-Soricelli says. “I’m grateful to the Jewelers of America for this acknowledgment and to be part of an industry that values creativity, ethics, and innovation.”

Of course, she has had a pretty good education in the business. Daoud’s has been part of the jewelry industry for 131 years, with five generations of the Daoud family working to build the name into one of South Florida’s best-known jewelers.

These days, Daoud-Soricelli is often on the other side of the counter, helping clients navigate everything from finding the right diamond to buying and selling estate jewelry and watches. Her approach is rooted in the kind of personal service that has long been central to the family business, with an emphasis on knowing the piece and the person looking for it.

Her latest recognition also adds to Daoud’s long list of industry distinctions. The store is a member of Jewelers of America’s 100 Club, which recognizes businesses that have been in continuous operation for more than a century. With just 144 members nationwide, Daoud’s is in some rare company.

For Daoud-Soricelli, the business extends beyond the showroom. She is involved in philanthropy and the South Florida community while balancing her role at Daoud’s with life as a wife and mother.

After 131 years, Daoud’s may have plenty of history but with its fifth generation at the helm, there’s still plenty of story left to write.
