At first, it sounds like something out of a sci-fi spa: wooden rollers, infrared heat, color therapy, no massage therapist in sight. But the Rollshaper isn’t some gimmick pulled from a late-night infomercial — it’s the centerpiece of RESHAPED, a new Fort Lauderdale wellness studio quietly amassing a cult following.
Here’s how it works: You enter a room, stay fully clothed and position yourself on a sleek machine that looks part Pilates reformer, part medieval barrel. The rollers rotate. You rotate. For 45 minutes, you move through 15 guided positions while the machine goes to work — breaking up fat cells, boosting blood flow, draining your lymphatic system and making you feel like you did something productive, all while lying down.

The founder swears by it — but not in a “trust me, dude” way. After moving from Europe and feeling off-balance, bloated and stressed, Roberta Kriunaitė searched Fort Lauderdale for the roll massage she relied on back home. When she couldn’t find it, she built it.
Yes, there’s science behind it: The infrared heat helps with circulation and inflammation, the color therapy allegedly boosts immunity and mood, and the rolling movement is like a deep tissue massage without the elbows. But the real magic? You leave feeling lighter, looser and a little more like yourself.

It’s not for everyone. If your idea of wellness involves candles and whispered spa music, keep it moving. But if you’re down to try a massage that feels like a secret handshake with your metabolism, you might want to roll with it.
