If your idea of Pilates involves a slow burn, sore abs and maybe a few tentative toe points, you’re not wrong. But at SQLPT Pilates, in Flagler Village, it’s about much more than the moves. It’s about breath, resilience and finding strength in stillness — and it all starts with a mat.
The studio is the dream-turned-reality of Elena Duni, a certified Pilates instructor with a story that reads like a wellness memoir. “I am so humbled and excited to be bringing my first-ever mat Pilates studio to such an incredible and growing city and community,” says Duni. Her journey started in Macedonia when her aunt dragged her to a Pilates class. She felt awkward, out of place and unsure — so naturally, she went back the next day. And the day after that. Four months later, she was a certified instructor.

Duni’s studio isn’t just a place to work out — it’s a space to work through. Think soulful breathwork, deep core activation and movements designed to heal as much as they sculpt. With nine weekly classes (and more on weekends), SQLPT Pilates will host up to 22 students in its sun-washed, Mediterranean-inspired space. Private sessions? Yep. Pre- and postnatal support? Covered. Rehabilitation clients? Welcome.
SQLPT Pilates is designed for all levels, with non-heated mat classes that prioritize core strength, breathwork and mindful movement. The space itself — 900 square feet of Mediterranean minimalism — is a nod to Duni’s roots. Her schedule is packed: early mornings, after-work hours and weekend sessions, some taught by a team she has personally trained. Private sessions are also available, including options for prenatal, postnatal and rehabilitation clients.
“This studio will be a place where clients can become the best version of themselves, both mentally and physically,” Duni says. In a neighborhood buzzing with energy, SQLPT Pilates is bringing something rare to Fort Lauderdale: a calm, beautiful place to show up, breathe deep and feel yourself grow stronger — one controlled movement at a time.
