Feeding South Florida to Host “Tacos & Tequila” on Nov. 7

Taco ’bout making a difference! Help Feeding South Florida® change lives one meal at a time. Feeding South Florida – the leading hunger-relief organization in South Florida – will host “Tacos & Tequila” at its Pembroke Park Warehouse on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 2 to 6 p.m. Guests will enjoy an afternoon of tacos, tequila cocktails, wine, live music, family-friendly activities and more, all while supporting Feeding South Florida’s work to help put food on the table for individuals and families facing food insecurity and hunger.
Guests will enjoy an assortment of delectable tacos from Chef Susan Taves with Feeding South Florida’s Catering Service, Red Chair, and more. Participating vendors will compete for the titles of “Best Taco” and “Best Tequila Cocktail.”
The family-friendly event will feature a dedicated kids’ zone, and raffles for the chance to win prizes. Attendees will also enjoy live entertainment and music from Ryan Bauta Entertainment.
Each general admission ticket is all-inclusive of food and drinks, the kids’ zone, live music and entertainment, and salsa dancing. The VIP ticket includes a private VIP area, front-of-stage access, premium food and beverages, exclusive tastings and more. Feeding South Florida’s CEO, Paco Velez, is bringing his Paco’s Tacos, a specialty taco experience exclusively for VIP guests. The event is sponsored by: Prologis, Guardian Impact Window & Roofing, Cyna, and Events on the Loose.
Currently, more than 1.7 million individuals throughout South Florida are experiencing food insecurity, including nearly 500,000 children and seniors. One in nine individuals in South Florida remain uncertain about where they will get their next meal due to inflation, the strained supply chain, rising fuel prices and increased housing costs, among other factors.
Proceeds raised during the event will allow Feeding South Florida to fulfill its mission to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and transforming lives through innovative programming and education. Just $1 provides four meals.
