Aston Martin – DB12
Powertrain: 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8
HorsePower: 671 hp
Speed: Max 202 mph, 0 to 60 in 3.5 secs
Upholding the luxurious yet capable class of grand tourer, Aston Martin is calling their new classic DB car a “Super Tourer.” The British manufacturer has a long history of creating the most exquisite British cars in the world and is unveiling a replacement for the already well-known DB11.
Continuing their classic formula of low-slung smooth bodies, solidly built performance and high-quality materials, this new rendition keeps everything that made the DB11 timeless and adds some more.
Taking styling cues from the DB11, the new exterior includes a more pronounced front grille, redesigned headlights and a lighter, more modern set of wheels. Adding the latest state-of-the-art infotainment and raising the center console makes you feel in control of the heart of this car, Aston Martin claims. Its new, more-robust powertrain makes the DB12 a lot quicker and faster than its beloved predecessor. The DB12 is not a rethinking of Aston Martin’s timeless formula, but rather an improving evolution.
Ferrari – Roma Spider
Powertrain: 3.9-liter V-8
HorsePower: 612 hp
Speed: Max 199 mph; 0 to 60 in 3.1 secs
For those who don’t know, the Ferrari Roma (the successor to the classic entry-level Portofino Roma) is the Italian supercar company’s entry-level offering – but nothing about it says “entry level.”
With this vehicle, Ferrari has made history by chopping off the Roma’s roof to add a drop-top soft top. This is a big deal since there hasn’t been a front-engine fabric-top Ferrari convertible since 1969 with the 365 GTS/4. Advantages of a soft top over a hard top include less added weight, a more uniform appearance and faster operation. Ferrari claims the vehicle weighs only 185 pounds more than the coupe, which is a huge deal for Roma enthusiasts.
Beyond this remarkable change to the Ferrari Roma, new models will offer more user-friendly steering wheel buttons, reduced wind noise and improved fuel efficiency. The new Ferrari Roma Spider shares the same strong performance heart as previous models but now lets you really enjoy the outside elements.
This grand tour-style car is luxurious with leather-wrapped 18-way power-adjusted heated seats but packs a mighty punch with its sophisticated V8 engine. The Roma embodies Ferrari speed without those uncomfortable carbon-fiber bucket seats and stays more predictable than a “wild horse” with the latest version of the Slide Slip Control system. Ferrari fans can now get an ultra-modern Roma with a hint of classic heritage.
Cadillac – Celestiq
Powertrain: Two electric motors
HorsePower: 600 hp
Speed: Max 126 mph (rumored), 0 to 60 in 3.8 secs
The Celestiq is a futuristic approach to royalty in a horse-drawn chariot — except this one has 600 horsepower and an all-electric drivetrain. Cadillac’s new flagship electric vehicle really grabs attention with its extravagant styling and visionary technology. The name “Celestiq” is a clever combination of “celestial” and “IQ,” which describes this unique EV sedan perfectly.
Starting at $300,000, these jaw-dropping cars will be handbuilt by Cadillac’s finest team of craftspeople and custom-tailored through special order. The Celestiq’s advanced driving features include adaptive air suspension, allowing the car to maneuver with rear steering; an Ultium battery pack that gives drivers 300 miles of range; and fast charging that can juice the car with 78 miles of range in about 10 minutes.
More oriented to comfort than performance, the Celestiq features an extremely lavish interior. Cadillac’s technological powerhouse of a cabin has fully digital displays, an electrochromic glass roof, ecologically sourced open-pore wood, advanced ambient interior lighting, clean metallic inlays and a 3D surround sound speaker system.
Lamborghini – Revuelto
Powertrain: 6.5-liter V-12 electric motor assisted (hybrid)
HorsePower: 1001 hp
Speed: Max 217 mph, 0 to 60 in 2.5 secs
Replacing a legendary exotic supercar, the Lamborghini Aventador, this new Italian bull has already punched a hole through the big shoes it needed to fill. The last version of the Aventador had 769 horsepower and the latest model, the Revuelto, has more than 1000 horsepower combined with its electric motors included. Having a rear-mounted engine will make this supercar handle like a dream.
The Revuelto got its name from a true rebel bull that fought in Barcelona in 1880 and escaped into the alley multiple times. In retrospect, there is no taming this Italian bull of a supercar. The ultra-aggressive yet quite familiar look has legendary styling cues from the Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, Sián, Huracan Tecnica, and of course the Aventador.
There will be a limited EV-only setting for low-speed urban driving that’s worth mentioning. But being a hybrid boosts the performance beyond its V-12 engine, allowing for Bugatti-rivaling acceleration.
Beyond its styling and eye-opening performance, Lamborghini has finally made their tight-fitting cabins more practical. They have expanded overall interior space, adding storage areas that were previously nonexistent and a pair of more-practical cup holders. Simply put, the Revuelto is an impressive exotic car that will surely become another Lamborghini icon.
Ferrari – Purosangue
Powertrain: 6.5-liter V-12
HorsePower: 715 hp
Speed: Max 193 mph; 0 to 60 in 3.2 sec
The dream supercar SUV has finally become a reality. If you were to ask Ferrari what it is, they would insist it’s not an SUV but rather a “modern GT” speed machine. Creating this exotic “SUV” wasn’t in the purebred Italian supercar’s blood but this car is worthy of the Ferrari badge. Interestingly, the name “Purosangue” means “pure-blooded.”
Starting at over $400,000, this is the most expensive and exclusive production SUV on the market. Ferrari’s archrival, Lamborghini, has made their Urus SUV with a twin-turbo V8, but Ferrari insisted the Purosangue have a raw, naturally aspirated V-12 beast of an engine. Its interior has the most legitimate legroom for four passengers of any Ferrari, sports individual bucket seats for all passengers, fine Ferrari-grade materials, massaging front seats and an optional glass roof. This new high-performance “SUV” holds true to the Ferrari name and shows how innovative the Italian brand is willing to be for its customers.
Rolls-Royce – Spectre
Powertrain: Dual electric motors
HorsePower: 577 hp
Speed: Max 155 mph, 0 to 60 in 4.4 secs
Breaking the traditional stereotypes of the mega-rich, this new Rolls-Royce no longer has a gas-guzzling V-12 with a lot less fuel efficiency than the average car. You read that right — the Spectre will ditch the old standard V-12 for new electric motors. This car is the ultimate luxury EV and will boast a range of around 260 miles per charge. This might not seem impressive at first but considering this car weighs over 6,500 pounds, it’s a big step in the right direction for Rolls-Royce. Having an electric motor will also make it one of the quietest Rolls-Royces ever made with the addition of advanced sound-deadening material.
The supreme EV land yacht will boast class-leading luxury tailored by the owner, including the finest leather everywhere, starry-night headliner, precious-metal finishes, customized body paint, handcrafted analog features and ultra-modern technology. Exclusive Spectre touches will be added, like starry-night LED lights that twinkle in the door panels. With this in mind, the Spectre’s presence will make an iconic statement in the ultra-luxury automobile market.
