Tacos of the World
Coyo Taco, 401 E Las Olas Blvd., 954.766.1292, coyo-taco.com
The Miami-based Mexican chain – which in addition to a number of locations in the 305 has outlets placed as far-flung as Panama, Portugal and Paris – is now on Las Olas. If there’s a taco filling you want to try, they’ve probably got it. There’s a nod to local cuisine with Modelo-battered grouper. And if you’re really feeling, um, adventurous, wash it down with the frozen Red Bull Margarita.
FOMO for Fogo
Fogo de Chao, 201 E Las Olas Blvd., Suite 100, 754.900.3111, fogodechao.com
The upmarket Brazilian steakhouse chain has gone into The Main, the swanky new downtown Las Olas building. It’s got that Brazilian steakhouse experience of servers walking around ready to slice you off another piece of meat at a moment’s notice. Oh, and salad bar? No no, that’s the Market Table, and it’s loaded down with traditional Brazilian soups to cured meats to smoked salmon.
