Whiskey Neat, the unparalleled whiskey cocktail lounge, has opened a second location, this one in Plantation. Located across the street from Sawgrass Mills and attached to the Quarterdeck, this retreat for whiskey devotees makes for a great pre-game destination or post-game celebration.
Featuring South Florida’s largest and most exclusive whiskey selections, Whiskey Neat offers your favorite labels and new discoveries from over 230 rare, curated spirits. The owners, family-operated Old School Hospitality, wanted to bring their popular concept — which already has a fanatic fan base further south on SE 17th Street — to a new crowd.
“Whiskey Neat’s expansion into Plantation is a significant milestone for us,” said Old School Hospitality CEO James Flanigan. “Thanks to the incredible response from our beloved guests, it was a natural step to bring the exceptional Whiskey Neat experience to this area. We are thrilled to offer whiskey enthusiasts in Plantation and beyond an unforgettable journey through over 230 rare whiskeys. Our prime location just across from the Sawgrass Mills mall provides the perfect backdrop for whiskey lovers to savor their passion in a vibrant and dynamic setting.”
The 2,500-square-foot space includes 50 seats for whiskey aficionados to sit and sip. The bar boasts a spectacular multi-colored liquor wall stocked with probably the largest whiskey display you will ever see.
When you eventually work up an appetite, the menu offers a wide array of food selections. You can choose from American comfort fare, specialty sushi, custom-blend burgers, build-your-own poke bowls, tacos and more.
To amplify your whiskey experience, check out Whiskey Neat’s crafted cocktails like the Chai Me Up (Maker’s Mark, lemon juice, house-made chai syrup and egg white) and the Midnight in Manhattan (Woodford Rye, Foro Amaro, Bitter Truth aromatic bitters and Filthy Cherry). You can also pick from various Old-Fashioned favorites like the Misunderstood Love (Misunderstood Ginger Spiced Whiskey, simple syrup, fresh raspberries and candied ginger) or the Up All Night (Evan Williams 1783, Swami Juice, cold brew, Mr. Black Cold Brew coffee liqueur, Bitter Truth aromatic bitters and a brown sugar cube).
If you can’t decide, you can opt for a flight. Flight options include bourbon, rye, single malt scotch, Irish and Japanese.
