The Fourth Annual Fort Lauderdale Art Gala, hosted by Rcamm Art and the Cammarata family, is set to dazzle attendees on December 9, with proceeds benefiting Kids in Distress (KID) and Family Central. Sponsored by RSM and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, the gala promises an unforgettable night, featuring an exclusive live art experience, gourmet cuisine paired with curated tastings and chances to win coveted items through a silent auction and raffle, including a 14k white gold diamond bracelet from Jon Paul Jewelers.
The event was founded in 2021 by Ross Cammarata, the creative force behind Rcamm Art, who wanted to create an impactful, community-focused initiative. “KID is an amazing organization based in Fort Lauderdale that supports over 20,000 families and at-risk children,” Cammarata says. “They’re dedicated to preventing child abuse, preserving families and helping children heal.”
KID operates a five-acre campus in Fort Lauderdale that provides essential services like foster care, preschool, aftercare, summer camp programs and family counseling. With an additional location in Southwest Ranches, KID continues to be a vital resource for families in need.
Reflecting on the event’s inception, Cammarata explains, “My vision was to bring people together for a sophisticated night of art, food and philanthropy. The gala is all about experiencing the beauty of art in a luxurious setting while raising funds for Kids in Distress.”
Family Central, another event beneficiary, works to strengthen local families by offering resources like early learning initiatives, a food program and training for families in need.
This year’s black-tie optional gala will be held at Coral Ridge Country Club, beginning at 6 p.m. “Coral Ridge Country Club is Fort Lauderdale’s premier private country club,” Cammarata notes. “Its prestige and ambiance bring a special energy to the event, with world-class service, food and drinks elevating the evening.”
The Fort Lauderdale Art Gala combines community, creativity and cause—a perfect opportunity to support our city’s most vulnerable families in a memorable setting.
