Mercadito Night: Meet the Makers Edition hosted by LALO Tequila

Lona Cocina & Tequileria, celebrated Chef Pablo Salas’ beloved soulful Mexican concept on Fort Lauderdale beach, is offering the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable beachside fiesta every month at its event series Flavors of Mexico: Mercadito Night. Taking place every third Wednesday of the month on Lona’s oceanfront tequila terrace, Mercadito Night aims to transport guests to the heart of Mexico with unlimited access to food stations showcasing bites from Lona’s modern Mexican menu, as well as free-flowing Lona Margaritas.

This June, the flavor and fun-filled event returns as a special Meet the Makers Edition sponsored by LALO Tequila and its founder Eduardo “Lalo” González who will be in attendance as honorary host to mingle with guests, discuss the history and making of the brand, and guide a special cocktail making experience for attendees. Muralist Timothy Robert Smith will be also onsite to lead live painting demos and a discussion about his upcoming mural project transforming the lifeguard towers on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

In addition, attendees (ages 21+ only) can enjoy unlimited access to live action stations featuring a vibrant lineup of bites, curated by Lona’s Executive Chef Juan Carlos Peña, including Tamales, Empanadas, Guacamole, Tacos and Churros, plus several LALO-inspired dish specials such as LALO Tequila-braised Barbacoa, Salsa Borracha Enchiladas and Cajeta with Tequila Flan. Add live music, interactive entertainment, and bottomless Lona Margaritas into the mix, and it’s a recipe for an incredible night full of flavor and fun at a great price.
