Located inside the Pompano Citi Centre sits the craft‑beer brewpub and taproom, Dangerous Minds Brewing Company. At 3,000 square feet, the space features 26 taps, a fully stocked kitchen, a seven-barrel brewhouse with a 106-seat taproom and a patio. On the menu, beer names will sound familiar to you as they were inspired by scientists and philosophers – for example, try the Conscious Slumber (Edgar Allen Poe-inspired imperial stout mixed with molasses).

The popular To Fly Aviation Exhibit Hall has been recently expanded with the addition of The Leighton Family Hangar. The aviation-themed makerspace invites visitors of all ages to immerse themselves into a hands-on learning experience. It offers a science lab, engineering workshop, innovation workshop and art room – a combination that allows for a variety of teaching methods ranging from robotics and electronics to sewing and 3D printing.

This new restaurant, bar and lounge is set to open in the former Tarpon Bend building in Himmarshee. The spot will serve as a restaurant/bar by day and club by night. Cocktails will include the Red Ivy (vodka-infused with steeped hibiscus, raspberry and lime). On the small plates menu, you’ll find French fry nachos, barbecue chicken flatbreads and a blondie drizzled with bacon-bourbon caramel sauce for dessert.
