All Saints Episcopal Church’s Blessing of the Animals

October 4, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

  • « Open House & Sweet Potato Harvest
  • Starlight Jam Sessions »

All Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale invites local pet adoption and rescue organizations, veterinary offices, and animal lovers in the greater Fort Lauderdale area to join in its Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10 a.m. The event will take place in Brion Park, located next to the church (333 Tarpon Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301), in honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the 12th-century patron saint of animals and the environment.

This cherished tradition welcomes animals of all kinds (dogs, cats, snakes, hamsters, horses, birds, iguanas) and all God’s non-human creatures (and their humans). Three reverends will be present to offer blessings to every animal in attendance.

In addition to the blessings, attendees will enjoy:

– A free petting zoo
– Meet-and-greets with local law enforcement animals
– Special pet treat bags
– Tours of the church and Sunday school classrooms

Local pet adoption agencies, rescue groups, and veterinary offices are encouraged to participate, share resources, and connect with parishioners and neighbors at this community celebration of our beloved animal companions.

For safety, all pets must be on a leash or in a secure carrier. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held inside the church. For more information, please visit https://allsaintsfl.org, call (954) 467-6496, or email office@allsaintsfl.org.

About All Saints Episcopal Church
All Saints Episcopal Church of Fort Lauderdale officially began as a congregation in 1912. In 1938, the church was designated as a full Episcopal Parish and in 1958 moved into its current building on the banks of the New River in Fort Lauderdale’s iconic Colee Hammock neighborhood. Welcoming to all regardless of age, race, gender or sexual orientation, the church is home to a diverse membership base and maintains a myriad of community outreach partnerships. All Saints Episcopal Church offers two services on Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., along with a healing service with Holy Eucharist on Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. and Vespers on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit the All Saints website at www.allsaintsfl.org.
