The LYC Sailing Foundation (LYCSF) is excited to announce an event with the Honorable William “Bill” Evanina, an American national security official who served as director of the United States National Counter-Intelligence and Security Center (NCSC) under President Obama and President Trump until his resignation in January 2021. Mr. Evanina currently serves as Founder and CEO of the Evanina Group advising CEOs and Board of Directors on strategic corporate risk. Guests will enjoy drinks and light bites while hearing Evanina’s insights on security challenges facing the United States and the global community.

William “Bill” Evanina is a decorated former government official with a distinguished career spanning the CIA, FBI, and National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC). Evanina served as the NCSC’s Director under both Presidents Obama and Trump, leading the fight against foreign espionage and threats to national security. Evanina was responsible for leading and supporting the CI and security activities of the US Intelligence Community, the U.S. Government, and U.S. private sector entities at risk from intelligence collection or foreign adversaries’ attacks. Under NCSC, he oversaw national-level programs and activities such as the National Insider Threat Task Force; personnel security and background investigations; information technology protection standards and compliance; CI cyber operations; supply chain risk management; threat awareness to sectors of the US critical infrastructure; national-level damage assessments from espionage or unauthorized disclosures, CI mission management, and national CI and security training programs. Evanina now serves as the CEO of the Evanina Group, a security consulting firm.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the LYC Sailing Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sailing education and competition in Fort Lauderdale.
