Make Your Own Kokedama Botanical Class at Baoshi Food Hall & Bar

Baoshi, the innovative Asian food hall, bar, and market located in the heart of Pembroke Pines, right off bustling Pines Boulevard, brings together a curated Asian dining experience. Baoshi will be hosting a “Make Your Own Kokedama” Botanical Class on Saturday, May 11th from 2PM to 4PM, the weekend of Mother’s Day. Guests will learn techniques and the history of Kokedamas – which are balls of soil, covered with moss on which an ornamental plant grows; they are very popular in Japanese gardens. Under the guidance of botanical expert Zuleima, this in-person learning experience is designed for nature lovers, who want to grow with their creativity and learn simultaneously. Zuleima will accompany attendees in this experience and guide you each step of the way in the creation of your own Kokedama. For $50/pp guests will learn about the principles and elements of Kokedamas, care and management of plants for the design of the Kokedama, materials and their differences, preparation of a Kokedama, details and completion of the Kokedama, and tips for maintenance at home. In the class, you will perform a meditation, enjoy refreshments (one cocktail voucher or non-alcoholic beverage from the bar), receive materials for elaboration, and a Kokedama plant will be provided.
