Get ready to press start on an unforgettable adventure at this year’s Youth Day Parade & Festival! Our theme, “Game On!”, celebrates all things games—from the thrill of sports and the excitement of video games to the strategy of board games and the fun of playground classics.
Whether you’re scoring goals, leveling up, rolling the dice, or making power moves, this is your chance to bring your game face and showcase the energy, teamwork, and creativity that make games so exciting. Expect a festival packed with live entertainment, interactive challenges, and a parade bursting with color, costumes, and gaming spirit.
So, lace up your sneakers, grab your controllers, and get ready to play, cheer, and celebrate—because it’s Game On!

Youth Day Celebration – Est. 1957
SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2025
The City’s celebration of its youth features Broward County’s longest-running parade led by elected officials, community groups, local schools, and athletic teams.
The parade starts at Jaco Pastorius Park, then south on Dixie Highway, west on NE 38th Street, north on NE 5th Avenue to Wimberly Field. Road closures will take place along the parade route.
The parade will be followed by opening ceremonies and a celebration with carnival rides, live music, games, food, and fireworks.
EVENT TIMES 10 a.m. – Parade starts 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. – Celebration at Wimberly Field
EVENT LOCATIONS PARADE – Starts at Jaco Pastorius Park at 4000 N. Dixie Highway and ends at Wimberly Field
CELEBRATION – Wimberly Field at 4000 NE 3rd Avenue.
ADMISSION No entry fee. For rides, see wristband info below.
PARKING AND SHUTTLE (see parking locations on map on right on this page) Free shuttle service will operate from City Hall at 3650 NE 12th Avenue to Wimberly Field from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
We strongly encourage ride share, carpooling, or public transportation to avoid delays or any inconvenience.
WRISTBANDS – SALES BEGIN MONDAY, MARCH 17, 2025 Wristbands for rides may be purchased in advance for $15 (cash only presale) or the day of the event for $20 cash or credit. Purchase wristbands (cash only) for $15 at these locations through April 11:

Event Guidelines:
No coolers, weapons, knives, firearms, or explosives are allowed
Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult
Wristbands must be worn at all times (if applicable)
Video surveillance cameras and photographers are present.
By entering the event area, you agree to be photographed, videotaped, and recorded for any and all future use by the City of Oakland Park
No outside foods or drinks allowed
