“ONE CITY AT A TIME” COMING TO HOLLYWOOD

Memorial Healthcare System and the City of Hollywood will launch the “One City at a Time” program in Hollywood by offering uninsured or underinsured residents resources and services at no charge:

 medical exams and screenings
 vaccinations
 nutritional counseling
 Medicaid eligibility and insurance enrollment information
 referrals to social services and specialists
 access to primary care physicians

The January 27 th kickoff event will also include lunch, food distribution, raffles, a job fair, games, music, and activities for kids.

Memorial’s adult and pediatric mobile health centers will be on-site at the event and at community locations three days a week for the next three months.

The “One City at a Time” program seeks to improve the health of communities, in part, by removing barriers to health and care and making it easier for individuals to connect with available resources.

Hollywood is the third city in south Broward that Memorial has brought its program to in the last eight months (Hallandale Beach and Dania Beach are the others).

It’s all part of Memorial Primary Care’s commitment to proactive health that can prevent or more easily treat chronic conditions before they become a crisis for an individual and his or her family.
