Hued Songs and the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center Present Soulful Christmas. A multidisciplinary function, Soulful Christmas is a holiday celebration for all, featuring music, storytelling, and community.
The concert will center on the re-telling of the classic story, The Night Before Christmas, with a local and cultural twist. Audience members will take a musical journey through decades of iconic music that has shaped the sounds of Black Christmas- ranging from gospel, spirituals, soul, and everything in between, led by a diverse cast of artists.
This concert centers the celebration of Black Christmas and Black Memory. Soulful Christmas features a dynamic cast of powerhouse artists, led by Director & Choreographer Darius J. Manuel.
