Volunteers Needed: Help Meals on Wheels South Florida Prepare for Storm Season

As hurricane season approaches, it’s vital to ensure seniors have the necessary supplies, safety checks, and community support. Thanks to the generosity of Florida Power & Light Company and the Florida Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels South Florida is delivering emergency preparedness meal kits and conducting wellness checks at the homes of their senior clients throughout Broward County. Meals on Wheels South Florida’s staff and volunteers will deliver three hurricane meal kits along with a printed hurricane guide to keep them safe and informed during storm season.
Meals on Wheels South Florida is seeking dedicated volunteers to help with our upcoming Hurricane Preparedness Event on Saturday, June 28th at 9:00 a.m. Join us as we distribute hurricane prep meal kits to ensure our home-bound neighbors are safe and supported during hurricane season.
