No, this isn’t The Go-Go’s song, but we’re sure you can find their records at this new store in Oakland Park. They’ve been in business since 1999 but just relocated their first store to Oakland Park. Owner Tony took what he learned from traveling around the country stopping at various music stores, then threw in a little “funk and glam.” They carry vinyl and CDs of all genres of music. However, they offer a particularly impressive selection of hard rock/heavy metal, modern rock and punk.

It’s a gallery showcasing a diverse selection of local artists. But it’s also a bar and event space where something different is happening most nights. There’s live music on the weekends, while other regular events include Wednesday-night craft-making and a Thursday open mic night as well as board game nights and karaoke. Art ranges from darkly abstract to pop culture-inspired fun to some of the coolest skateboard decks you’ve seen.
