Need that one-of-a-kind Halloween costume? Get a new look at these local shops.

1. Costume World

Looking to rent an extravagant style costume? Costume World has everything from holiday-themed, mascots, biblical and uniforms to period historical, storybook and superheroes. They even host a historical costume museum. Each year, a new exhibit is displayed featuring costumes from Broadway and Hollywood and historical garments and artifacts. You might recognize them from The Today Show and in Vogue.


2. Vintage Diversity

They have items available for rent and purchase – from every era like “wartime 40s,” “Sonny and Cher 60s,” “disco 70s” and “Saved by the Bell 80s.” In addition to being a costume store, they are also a vintage clothing and prop store too. And if you can’t find what you need in store, you can always shop on their website for over 1,800 more looks.


3. Crazy About Costumes

If you want theatrical-level costume ensembles, then Crazy About Costumes is the place for you. They are most commonly used for local plays and performances all year round so if you want to start looking early next year – this is also the place for you. Since opening over 25 years ago, they have catered to all kinds of events such as weddings and birthday parties. Plus, chances are you’ve seen them on TV like when the cast members of Family Karma visited during an episode of the Bravo show.


4. Spirit Halloween

If you’re more into buying than renting, Spirit Halloween has a plethora of options for any age and even for your pets. These stores tend to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the costume area like popular shows and movies (Stranger Things, Avengers, PJ Masks). Plus, they have props like fog machines, party décor, animatronics and more.
