1. Nuttin But Truffle
BRGR STOP, brgrstop.com
Brgr Stop is known for reimagining the possible like some sort of deranged burger NASA. This one’s a bit fancy. You got your white truffle aioli and your black truffle sun cheese, which is blended gruyere and white cheddar. Smother that with portobello mushrooms and slap it in a brioche bun and it’s like Ronald McDonald went to a fancy French culinary school.
2. Brisket and Short Rib Burger
Batch New Southern Kitchen and Tap, batchsouthernkitchen.com
This new Flagler Village spot serves up creative takes on Southern comfort food – such as this genius way of conveying barbecue staples in burger form. To really splash out, you can include smoked cheddar, an egg and/or pecan-whiskey candied bacon.
3. Anita Mojito
Rosie’s Bar and Grill, rosiesbarandgrill.com
Not only is Rosie’s a Wilton Drive institution, but it boasts one of the most fun burger menus around. We’d recommend trying all of them (though maybe just one at a time). For a truly South Florida take on the burger, start with the Cuban-inspired Anita Mojito. With mojo, shaved ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and Dijon mustard aioli, it’s basically part burger, part Cuban sandwich.
4. Jezebel Burger
Gingers Bar and Restaurant , gingersbarandrestaurant.com
We’ll admit, we weren’t overly familiar with Jezebel Sauce. Apparently it’s the sort of thing your Southern meemaw might have rustled up a batch of back in the day. What we can say is that when you put it on a burger with some mozzarella and bacon, you’ve got a plateful of sweet, dripping goodness with kick.
