Bunches of Brunches

  • May 1, 2016
  • Alana Schindel

A mother’s sacrifice isn’t giving birth, it’s nine months without wine – so bring her to one of these amazing Fort Lauderdale brunch spots for Mother’s Day and keep the mimosas coming!

Bull Market

210 SW 2nd St., 954.523.1213, bullmarketbar.com
We’re all bulls in a China shop at this brunch spot. If you’re the type who can’t decide what to order from a menu of delicious-sounding plates, there’s no need to worry. They have a full buffet complete with prime rib, crab legs, mussels, peel-and-eat shrimp, an omelette station and a waffle station among much more, and with an option for unlimited mimosas and Yeungling and Shocktop beers, you may want to prepare for the post-meal damage by calling an Uber for you and your mother.

Blue Moon Fish Co.

4405 W Tradewinds Ave., Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, 954.267.9888, bluemoonfishco.com
Impress your mother with one of the fanciest and freshest brunches in South Florida. For one all-inclusive price, you’ll have complete access to every decadent dish, from the seafood table with Bon Secour oysters and king crab clusters to the carving board with mint leaf and shallot roasted leg of lamb and carved medallions of prime rib of beef among much, much more. And unlimited champagne, mimosas and bloody marys are included to wash down the lavish feast.

The Foxy Brown

723 E Broward Blvd., 754.200.4236, myfoxybrown.com
You were probably a bit sour to her at some point, so show your mother just how sweet you can be with an order of S’mores Belgian Waffles. Drenched in Nutella, marshmallow fluff and crumbled graham crackers, this plate is about as sweet as you can get for brunch in Fort Lauderdale. (They have many less-sweet options, too.)

Big City Tavern

609 E Las Olas Blvd., 954.727.0307, bigcitylasolas.com
Big city, big appetite. This brunching spot offers French-pressed coffee, unlimited mimosas or bloody marys and, of course, big plates of food, all made from scratch. The crab cake eggs benedict, porchetta hash with a six-minute egg and avocado toast with prosciutto di parma offer just a tiny taste of their big city selection, so swing by with your life-giver and treat them to a big(ger) bite.

Shooters

3033 NE 32nd Ave., 954.566.2855, shooterswaterfront.com
Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the brilliant buffet dishes. Take your mother out for a Saturday or Sunday brunch at this beautiful waterfront dining spot. They specialize in perfecting classic breakfast plates while also offering a fancy twist on your average morning bite with their crab & shrimp omelet and beef short rib eggs benedict.

Coconuts

429 Seabreeze Blvd., 954.525.2421, coconutsfortlauderdale.com
The waterside view and fresh seafood options at this tropical spot would impress even the most stubborn of mothers. Stop by on a Sunday for a delightful brunch, and finish off your meal with a complimentary gourmet donut, drizzled with caramel and topped with crushed pretzels and/or chocolate sauce.
