Diamonds Are Furever

Fine jewelry meets teacup pups in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.

Diamonds & Doggies has become a staple in the Lauderdale-By-The-Sea community, attracting not only tourists but also local residents drawn to the unique combination of luxury jewelry and adorable furry companions. The store has become a hotspot for pet lovers and jewelry enthusiasts alike.

“People thought I was crazy to bring diamonds into the pet business,” says store owner Dominick Casale. “But here we are, 12 years later, and the business continues to grow.”

Casale’s passion for dogs and his expertise in the jewelry industry have been the driving forces behind the success of Diamonds & Doggies. His extensive knowledge of diamonds and gemstones has allowed him to curate a stunning collection of fine jewelry that appeals to customers with discerning tastes. From exquisite diamond necklaces to elegant fashion jewelry pieces, the store offers a range of options to suit every style and occasion. “I’ve been GIA certified since 1981,” says Casale, a native of Staten Island who sold his two Casale Jewelers locations before moving to South Florida.

In addition to their jewelry offerings, Diamonds & Doggies has become renowned for their selection of teacup puppies. These pint-sized pups have captured the hearts of customers looking for a compact and adorable companion. The store works closely with reputable breeders to ensure the health and well-being of the puppies they offer, and they provide a supportive environment for potential pet owners, presenting guidance and information on responsible pet ownership.

Casale and his daughter Dominique take pride in providing a personalized and welcoming experience for every customer who walks through the doors of Diamonds & Doggies. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in the store’s warm and friendly atmosphere. They understand the special bond between a pet and its owner, and they strive to help customers find the perfect furry friend to enrich their lives.

“My dad is a creative thinker,” says Dominique. “He has a knack for coming up with great ideas.” Casale recalls the “lightbulb moment” when a couple came into the shop looking for accessories for their 1.5-pound dog, the smallest Chihuahua he had ever seen. He took a $5,000 diamond tennis bracelet and turned it into a necklace. The couple loved it, and Diamonds & Doggies was born.

Over the years, Diamonds & Doggies has become more than just a pet store and jewelry boutique. It’s now a community hub, hosting events and fundraisers to support local animal shelters and rescue organizations. Casale believes in giving back to the community and has made it a priority to contribute to causes that promote the well-being and welfare of animals.

As Diamonds & Doggies celebrates its 12th anniversary, Casale reflects on the journey that led him to combine his love for dogs and fine jewelry. He acknowledges that the path was unconventional, but the success of the store has proven that sometimes the most unexpected combinations can yield remarkable results.

Looking ahead, Casale envisions further growth and expansion for Diamonds & Doggies. With plans to renovate the store and reintroduce an expanded selection of fine jewelry, he aims to create an even more luxurious and enchanting shopping experience for his valued customers.

Whether you’re in search of a stunning piece of jewelry to add to your collection or a tiny canine companion to bring joy to your life, Diamonds & Doggies offers a one-of-a-kind destination where luxury and love meet in perfect harmony. Marilyn Monroe may have been right about diamonds, but at Diamonds & Doggies, they believe that love and diamonds are furever.
