Catching a Flight

Flight 19, 1103 E Las Olas Blvd., 954.451.5128, flight19ftl.com
It’s named for the doomed flight that took off from Fort Lauderdale and gave the Bermuda Triangle its reputation – but there’s no mystery in this ethos of fresh food, delicious cocktails and proudly local ambiance. They serve local coffee by Switchbox and bakery goods by Gran Forno. Entrees include margarita half chicken (oven-roasted lime and tequila-marinated chicken with crispy salt skin served with blistered green beans) and Mr. G’s Pork Tenderloin (grilled Dijon beer-marinated tenderloin served with sweet potato carrot mash).

Sipping with the Flowers

Wine + Garden, 3115 Terramar St., 954.302.2922, wineandgarden.com
Located in cool, laid-back North Beach Village, the wine garden offers beachgoers a place to “wine” down after a long day in the water or on the sand. Feel the ocean breeze while indulging in pizza, pasta, dessert and wine. Their pasta choices include salmon livornesa (linguine pasta with tomato sauce, olives, capers, onions, Italian parsley and fresh diced salmon) and one of their dessert options consists of yogurt Nutella chocolate mousse.

Vale-iant Effort

Vale Food Co., 420 N Federal Hwy., 954.306.8692, valefoodco.com
The Floridian restaurant and meal plan service has opened a fifth location right on Federal. Their restaurant menu includes build-your-own bowls (with chipotle mac as a base option, your choice of seven proteins and six sauces) and a “Super Food Station” that features acai bowls, avocado toast, nut butter toast and poke bowls. Their meal plan service includes two style options: weight loss or maintain. Each meal is chef-made and delivered daily for the freshest taste and quality.
