A Royal Entrance
Royal 350 Tap & Kitchen, 350 E Las Olas Blvd., 954.617.7447, royal350.com
Formerly Royal Pig Pub, this new restaurant on the block is elevating the dining experience by changing things up. In addition to focusing on the quality of their food and service, they’re adding a larger variety of lighter options and shared plates to the menu. Plus, they’re expanding their selection of specialty burgers and salads. A notable burger is the Triple Cheese Mac Attack (your choice of beef patty, chicken or black bean burger with American cheese, heaping portion of mac and cheese and queso). Most importantly, they now have the largest craft beer selection on the boulevard.

The Master of Sandwiches
Broad Shoulders Sandwiches, 2822 E Commercial Blvd., 754.779.7220, broadshoulderssandwiches.com
Former chef of Emeril Lagasse’s NOLA restaurant, Tom Azar (who Emeril reached out to personally) decided to take his talents to Fort Lauderdale. Over the years, his career brought him to South Florida where he decided to achieve one of his dreams of opening a gourmet sandwich shop. A sandwich menu made for the foodie at heart comprised of scratch-made condiments, sides and desserts. Sandwiches include the Chicago Style Italian Beef (Italian seasoned roasted beef shaved thin and dipped in their special gravy served with homemade giardiniera and sweet peppers on a Italian roll).
