Driving down the street in this upscale Coral Ridge community, your eye is immediately drawn to this modern marvel located on the premier corner lot. At a staggering 12,488-square-foot property size, the residence includes four bedrooms, five baths, a study, chef’s kitchen, hidden bar and exclusive access to the Intracoastal Waterway.
Housed within 5,800 square feet of living space, the home features stunning water views from every room – the perks of living on the corner lot.
When the homeowners bought the house, they were eager to give it a fresh makeover. They asked owner and lead designer Williams Martinez of Casa Martinez to bring their vision to life. Casa Martinez is a full-service design firm specializing in residential interiors. “Its mission is to approach each project in a unique way to reflect its client’s lifestyle and needs to provide them with the home of their dreams,” says Williams. Along with Casa Martinez, styling company Design Assisted worked tirelessly to combine forces and create the final product for their client.
Casa Martinez is known for combining textures and shapes to create the perfect balance of comfort and elegance. You’ll see features that exemplify this throughout the home.
Stepping into this coastal oasis, you’ll find yourself in the elegant foyer. Be careful not to miss the bar area tucked away at the entrance – ideal for entertaining guests with a welcome cocktail.
Beyond that, you’re a few steps away from the amazing waterway views that greet you from every window in the main living area. Designed to keep the party going, the open-space-format room is adorned with a large L-shaped sofa, accent chairs, wallpaper and floating shelves.
Adjacent to the living area, the dining room features a live oak table as the statement piece. A hanging light fixture above the table complements the natural tone. Off to the side, a beautiful console features a lamp that shines a spotlight on the artwork hanging just below it.
Williams’ clients had one main request: to add pops of color throughout the home. To achieve this, he incorporated furnishings and artwork in his design. In addition, he married hints of organic elegance and 1980s graphic contrast by mixing warmth in color and light balanced by stark angles and modern finishes.
Just across the large living area, the kitchen features a quartz waterfall island that can accommodate five people comfortably. The chef’s kitchen includes contrasting dark and light colors in the backsplash.
The second level can be reached by a beautiful glass staircase. Continuing with the colorful theme, the first bedroom comes with access to a private terrace with incredible views and a lounging area with comfortable yet luxurious furniture.
Lovingly referred to as the “green room,” this suite features a wicker rattan bed as the centerpiece – giving the organic look Williams strived for. It also includes a second terrace facing the front of the home.
Towards the back of the second floor, you’ll find the spacious master suite with its very own terrace facing the waterway. You’ll be tempted to relax here with a glass of wine and admire the large yachts sailing by. The room’s black and white design is elevated by hand-painted abstract wallpaper and matching window drapes, providing the elegant look the clients desired. Another special feature is the custom-built TV console that ranges from wall to wall. Next, the walk-in closet is also a walk-through to the master bath. Decked out in luxury accents, this bath includes a walk-in shower, floating tub and windows that let in the natural light.
When you’re ready to soak in the sun in your beautiful outdoor patio, the breathtaking Intracoastal views will be there to welcome you. Thanks to 190 feet of water frontage and the corner lot location, you’re guaranteed the best seats to watch superyachts and waterway action any time of the day. Along with the multiple lounging areas, the pool with spa will allow you to feel comfortable while doing so.
