Ringing It In

So, got plans for New Year’s Eve? We can help.

1. New Year’s Eve With Billy Joel
This is the third year the Piano Man has played the BB&T Center on New Year’s Eve, so it’s starting to look like a tradition. Come out for all the hits and some singalong fun. thebbtcenter.com

2. Lauderdale-By-The-Sea New Year’s Celebration
If you want New Year’s Eve festivities with something of a small-town feel without having to drive to some place like Highland County, LBTS is for you. The town’s annual NYE party is in many ways just an extension of its usual weekend block party – music in the streets, food and drink spilling out from the restaurants and bars, and plenty of by-the-sea good times. lbtsevents.com

3. Shooters Waterfront New Year’s party
For a truly Lauderdale New Year’s experience, head to the legend on the Intracoastal for a night that includes fire dancers, DJs and a four-course meal for $99. Just remember to save room for dessert and for champagne and seriously, try not to wind up in the water. shooterswaterfront.com

4. Orange Bowl Downtown Countdown
The City of Fort Lauderdale’s annual New Year’s Eve party with the Orange Bowl goes all day and into the night. Festivities start at 1 p.m. There are bounce houses, games and face-painting for the kids – who can even celebrate “New Year’s Eve” at a more child-friendly 7 p.m. with the kids’ countdown. As the night rolls on, the music plays and the drinks flow for the grownups. game.orangebowl.org
