These Pies Are Fire
Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop, 250 N Federal Hwy., Suite 1, 954.533.0810, firemandereks.com
They originated in Wynwood and made a name for themselves as one of the best pie shops in South Florida – well now you won’t have to travel too far to get yourself a slice. The Victoria Park location has all kind of delectable pies. There are the classics like Key Lime, Apple and Pecan. But, you’ll really want to try the not-so-typical items like the Nutella, Coconut Custard, Guavaberry and Cookie Monster (a cheesecake-based pit with a chocolate chip crust and layer of crushed Oreo cookies and finished off with pralines, whipped cream, chopped chocolate chip cookies, caramel and Ghirardelli chocolate sauce).
