Crème de la Crema

Crema, 401 E Las Olas Blvd., Suite 190, 954.530.9932, cremagourmet.com
Located in Las Olas City Center, Crema Gourmet Espresso Bar boasts 3,500 square feet of white brick walls and industrial café-bistro vibes. The one-stop shop offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Popular menu items include the Open Face Breakfast Sandwich (brioche bread, ham, Swiss cheese, fried eggs, bacon and aioli), Chicken Club Sandwich and the Salmon Bowl (oven-roasted salmon, brown rice, arugula, carrots, edamame, avocado, scallions, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and olive oil vinaigrette).

These Pies Are Fire

Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop, 250 N Federal Hwy., Suite 1, 954.533.0810, firemandereks.com
They originated in Wynwood and made a name for themselves as one of the best pie shops in South Florida – well now you won’t have to travel too far to get yourself a slice. The Victoria Park location has all kind of delectable pies. There are the classics like Key Lime, Apple and Pecan. But, you’ll really want to try the not-so-typical items like the Nutella, Coconut Custard, Guavaberry and Cookie Monster (a cheesecake-based pit with a chocolate chip crust and layer of crushed Oreo cookies and finished off with pralines, whipped cream, chopped chocolate chip cookies, caramel and Ghirardelli chocolate sauce).

Olé Bolay

Bolay, 1730 N Federal Hwy., 754.547.9410, bolay.com
Bolay is a fast-casual chain that tries to put together menus that show “fast” and “healthy” can go together. Wolfgang Puck protégé Martin Osawald designed the menu, which is filled with healthier takes on popular, quick dishes. They include a Teriyaki Chicken Wrap, Steak Au Jus and Rice Wrap, Spicy Thai Shrimp Bol and Mojo Pork Bol.
