The Pretty Nomad opened its first Florida store in Fort Lauderdale in 2022. Located on North Federal Highway, this flagship boutique sells high-quality and distinctive clothes, accessories and gifts for women. Inside, you’ll find flattering silhouettes, colorful hues and feminine prints.
Danielle Gaudreau, the founder and CEO of The Pretty Nomad, created this shop because she felt there was a void in the Fort Lauderdale area for feminine and confident clothing. “I want to lead by example and tell girls that it is totally OK to be that perfectly cute girl dressed in pink,” said Gaudreau. “Use every single part of you that is beautiful and feminine to your advantage and be confident in what you wear.”
Among the chic and glamorous pieces Gaudreau sells are her own exclusive one-of-a-kind designs. These “dreamy and exotic” bespoke pieces evoke hyper-femininity and confidence, which is Gaudreau’s mission for the brand.
Given that The Pretty Nomad encourages customers to embrace their femininity, it’s no surprise that the boutique is painted pink both inside and outside. Gaudreau chose this location, which she quickly painted to match the brand’s “girly” aesthetic, because it holds a special place in her heart — it is in the same building where she started her initial company, Hart Models, a model and talent agency.
This female-owned small business plans to open more Pretty Nomad locations, with each store having its own vibe depending on where it is based. But the boutique’s mission to help women feel more confident and empowered in the clothes they wear will always stay the same, Gaudreau said: “I stand here today saying very loudly and very proudly that you should be proud of being female, proud of being a woman and proud of being born just the way you are.”
